Offered in Ouro Preto, UFOP’s Industrial Engineering Program presents a contemporary pedagogical project. Its geographic location gives the students internship opportunities and experience in the labor market. The pedagogical project is flexible, combining mandatory and elective activities, classroom and laboratory classes and science, culture, and engineering activities. The student deepens their studies in at least one of the areas: Production management, Economic Engineering, Operational Research, or Energetic Planning.
The Industrial Engineer is adapted to work daily with the production and distribution of goods and services in an economic way in every industry, transport, and commerce sectors in the industry; with research and development in the government’s and companies’ development institutes, in event production and social organizations; in public institutions, and in the governmental and international agencies.
