Today, August 21st, Federal University of Ouro Preto celebrates its 51st anniversary. Founded from the junction of the century-old and traditional School of Pharmacy and School of Mines, the institution currently offers programs in the most diverse areas of knowledge, with campuses in Ouro Preto, Mariana and João Monlevade, in addition to the distance education centers located in the states of Minas Gerais, Bahia and São Paulo.
UFOP is also present in the world, through academic cooperation, development of projects, and the people who come and go and share the training and experiences obtained at UFOP in different destinations around the Globe.
