UFOP researchers' work is published in an international journal

The article published by the journal Free Radical Biology & Medicine was developed mainly by graduate students and professors from UFOP. In this work, the researchers evaluate the properties of the extract of the flowers of Melaleuca Leucadendron, a tree commonly found at Morro do Cruzeiro campus (Ouro Preto).

Among those responsible for the work, we highlight the PhD student Luan Silvestro Bianchini Silva, from the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the School of Pharmacy (Cipharma); and the postdoctoral researcher Kátia Michelle Freitas, from the Graduate Program in Biotechnology (Biotec), with the collaboration of Professor Miriam Teresa Paz Lopes, from the Institute of Biological Sciences at UFMG.
