UFOP women's Taekwondo wins bronze medal in the Brazilian University Games

UFOP Urban Engineering student, Lara Peixoto was one of the representatives of UFOP in the Brazilian University Games (JUBs), which took place in Brasilia from June 11 to 15.



Lara won the 3rd place in taekwondo, in the adult black belt up to 62kg category. The JUBs qualify for the Universíades, an international multi-sport event. The first phase had competitions in athletics, badminton, swimming, ornamental jump and taekwondo, as well as athletics and swimming para-sports.

The second stage will take place in Joinville (SC), from October 8 to 22. In this stage, the competitions of break dancing, cheerleader, e-sports, handball, judo, volleyball, chess, basketball, jiu-jitsu, futsal, tennis, and table tennis will be held.
