Performing Arts

The Performing Arts Program in UFOP was created in 1998, offering the Teaching Degree and the Bachelor's in Theater Direction in the following year. In 2005, the Program structure was amplified with the creation of a specific new area of the bachelor’s degree: Interpretation. A Dramatic Arts professional uses body movements and voice for several forms of representation and transmission of ideas, feelings, and emotions. Through art, they become capable of interacting directly with the community and analyzing the social reality in which they are inserted.

Career Oportunities

After finishing the teaching program, the professional may work as a teacher in schools of several levels such as middle school, high school, technical schools, theater workshops, besides working as an actor. The bachelor graduate can act in theater shows, advertising agencies, television, cinema, and in the production, direction, and creation of plays and scripts.
